Dior Parade Haute Couture Spring Summer Dubai

ITALIAN EDITION - La moda è ormai per me una malattia. Come se non fossi abbastanza soddisfatta del mio ultimo "tour de force" nel mondo della moda, eccomi ancora a raccontarvi di un'altra storia appassionante che mi ha coinvolto fino a tal punto, da farmi volare a Dubai dove, per la prima volta nella sua storia, la Maison Dior ha organizzato lo show "Dior Parade" in cui hanno sfilate le creazioni Haute Couture Summer 2019. Un grande segnale di apertura verso quel mondo esotico e raffinato che è il mondo Arabo, che forse più di tutti conserva, nel suo DNA, il gene della bellezza e della seduzione femminile come uno dei suoi più grandi segreti: un valore da conservare ed esaltare attraverso un linguaggio più sofisticato di quello che siamo abituati a osservare.

E doveva essere realmente una cosa così importante ed esclusiva che, anche il cielo se ne è accorto, tanto che ho potuto ammirare una Dubai con le strade bagnate e il suo skyline attraversato da fulmini che illuminavano il cielo. Al mio arrivo ho sentito il bisogno salire al 122 piano dell'At.mosphere del Burj Khalifa, il ristorante e lounge bar più alto del mondo dove, una splendida Dubai luccicante ha mostrato il suo fascino e la sua seducente bellezza come una abito da sera tempestato di pietre preziose. Una sensazione inebriante, che insieme alla coppa di champagne che bevuto nella sua lounge, ha amplificato le oscillazioni naturali del grattacielo, rendendo il tutto un magnifico ricordo troppo breve da essere vissuto. Il Burj Khalifa rappresenta l'icona del nuovo skyline di Dubai e, dopo esserci stata dentro, appariva ancora più imponente, nella sua elegante bellezza, dal Safa Park, il "Central Park" di Dubai per capirci, dove la Dior Parade si è celebrata nello stesso tendone da circo visto a Parigi durante la Haute Couture Week ss2019.

Ma a differenza di Parigi, qui è sembrato di essere entrati in un sogno Felliniano: le luci, il tendone, le splendide invitate, vestite con abiti di alta moda ma tutte con una cura maniacale per il trucco tipica del mondo arabo, sembravano essere parte di una memoria che dentro di me, forse, conservavo sin da bambina. Le preziose cuffie Dior indossate dalle modelle, mi hanno ricordate le cuffie delle bambole che toglievo e mettevo alle mie bambole, così come una buona parte delle ospiti invitate allo show, con il loro velo sulla testa, offrivano uno spettacolo meraviglioso, ricoprendone il capo, incorniciato nel tipico stile Arabo.

Lo scintillante circo vintage, rubato dalle immagini cinematografiche dei film di Fellini, mi ha calato in meraviglioso mondo dei sogni in cui, l'alta moda con i suoi funambolismi e equilibrismi creativi, ha trasformato una notte di Moda in una notte indimenticabile. Sicuramente il fascino composto da una scenografia mozzafiato e i pezzi d'alta moda hanno completato l'opera: I blazers da direttore di circo, le calze scintillanti da ballerine e acrobate, le camicie trasparenti, le tute in paillettes, e il magnifico trucco Dior ispirato allo stesso tema hanno costruito un'immagine in cui, i richiami estetici, hanno mostrato un incarnato luminoso in contrasto con gli occhi truccati di nero e ispirati alla cultura punk e ai pagliacci di Pierrot.

Il luogo stesso dello show, l'uso della tenda, inteso come habitat naturale per il mondo del deserto, è stata la chiave più riuscita di questo racconto esotico qui nel Medio Oriente, fatto di modelle e creazioni, che insieme hanno disegnato un percorso creativo che ha lasciato il segno nella mia percezione di un brand che continua ancora ad abbagliarmi. Nel complesso la sfilata ha combinato i pezzi della recente sfilata parigina con 15 nuove creazioni espressamente realizzate per questa sfilata e ha rivelato come questa incredibile Maison, abbia saputo cogliere e valorizzare un mercato, in cui si è già ritagliata una posizione privilegiata, che sa offrire una sintesi di bellezza e esclusiti vita' anche nel mondo "medio orientale", che più di altri è sensibile a un linguaggio estetico più complesso ed elaborato.

La stilista, l'italianissima Maria Grazia Chiudi, la prima donna a capo della celebre maison ha saputo raccogliere il testimone di questa grande casa Francese, mostrando come, nel mondo della moda, non esistano vincoli e barriere geografiche ma solo una grande ispirazione legata al concetto di raffinatezza e stile che deve proprio a lei, questa geniale prova di volontà che l'ha portata a mostrare questa magnifica collezione, in uno dei più luoghi più spettacolari del pianeta. Un fascino che si aggiunge al fascino esclusivo di un luogo che quello del suo caldo mare, ho ritrovato anche nel suo deserto, dove le dune e la sabbia mi hanno regalato un altro respiro mozzafiato.

Immersa nel suo silenzio, il mio sguardo è volato lontano verso l'orizzonte seguendo il volteggiare di falco, che dall'alto mi ha mostrato un cielo che sembrava galleggiare sulla sabbia. In controluce il vento, con una leggera onda di sabbia, ha costruito piccole increspature che mi hanno mostrato come, la forza della natura, possa scolpire il paesaggio e come, la sua bellezza e la sua grandezza, possano farci perdere nel suo silenzio.

Upon my arrival I felt the need to climb to the 122 floor of the At.mosphere of Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest restaurant and lounge bar where, a gorgeous glittering Dubai showed its charm and its seductive beauty as an evening dress studded with precious stones. An intoxicating sensation, which together with the glass of champagne I drank in its lounge, amplified the natural oscillations of the skyscraper, making it all a magnificent memory too short to be experienced. The Burj Khalifa is the icon of the new Dubai skyline and, after being there, it looked even more impressive, in its elegant beauty, from Safa Park, the "Central Park" of Dubai, where the Dior Parade was celebrated in the same circus tent seen in Paris during Haute Couture Week ss2019.

But unlike Paris, here it seemed as if we had entered into a Fellini's dream: the lights, the tent, the splendid guests, dressed in high fashion clothes but all with a maniacal care for the make-up typical of the Arab world, seemed to be part of a memory that inside me, perhaps, I kept since I was a child.

The precious Dior bonnets worn by the models reminded me of the ones I took off and put on my dolls, as well as a good part of the guests invited to the show, with their veils on their heads, offered a wonderful show, covering their heads, framed in the typical Arabic style.

The glittering vintage circus, stolen from the cinematographic images of Fellini's films, plunged me into a wonderful world of dreams in which, high fashion with its acrobatics and creative balances, has transformed a night of fashion into an unforgettable night. The charm of the breathtaking scenery and the haute couture pieces certainly completed the work: the circus director's blazers, the glittering stockings of dancers and acrobats, the transparent shirts, the sequined jumpsuits, and the magnificent Dior makeup inspired by the same theme built an image in which, aesthetic references, showed a luminous complexion in contrast with the eyes made up of black and inspired by the punk culture and the clowns of Pierrot.

The very place of the show, the use of the tent, intended as a natural habitat for the desert world, was the most successful key to this exotic tale here in the Middle East, made up of models and creations, who together have designed a creative path that has left its mark on my perception of a brand that still continues to dazzle me. Overall, the fashion show has combined the pieces of the recent Parisian fashion show with 15 new creations expressly created for this show and has revealed how this incredible Maison has been able to capture and enhance a market in which it has already carved out a privileged position, which can offer a synthesis of beauty and exclusivity even in the "Middle Eastern" world, which more than others is sensitive to a more complex and elaborate aesthetic language.

The designer, the very Italian Maria Grazia Chiuri, the first woman to head the famous maison, has been able to take the witness of this great French house, showing how, in the world of fashion, there are no constraints and geographical barriers but only a great inspiration linked to the concept of sophistication and style that owes precisely to her, this brilliant proof of will that led her to show this magnificent collection, in one of the most spectacular places on the planet. A charm that adds to the exclusive charm of a place, as that of its warm sea, that I also found in its desert, where the dunes and sand have given me another breathtaking sight.

Immersed in its silence, my gaze flew far towards the horizon following the hawk's hovering, which from above showed me a sky that seemed to float on the sand. Against the light the wind, with a light wave of sand, has built small ripples that have shown me how, the force of nature, can sculpt the landscape and how, its beauty and its greatness, can make us lose in its silence.
